Hi Justin,
Unfortunately, I haven't had the same luck as Neil. I now have two separate issues.
1) I was initially testing this on a laptop as I was travelling. The mex file fix worked for that, and then I hit the crash issue with the triangular mesh. I have checked the ownership of the directories. I do own the directories I had the ISSM_Windows_MATLAB directory in. However, I don't own the directories above it (including C:/). So I pulled the files over to an external drive, which I do own (obviously not ideal long-term, but as a test), but I hit the same crash. I have contacted my IT support to look at the potential firewall issue you suggest; I'm seemingly not able to check this myself.
2) Having returned to the office, I tried to install onto my desktop computer. In theory, this has the same university-managed setup as my laptop (more-or-less). It is Windows 10, running MATLAB R2023a. However, here, I hit a mex file issue again:
`issmversion
Invalid MEX-file 'C:\ISSM-Windows-MATLAB\bin\IssmConfig_matlab.mexw64': The specified module could not be found.
Error in IssmConfig (line 14)
value = IssmConfig_matlab(string);
Error in issmversion (line 19)
disp([IssmConfig('PACKAGE_NAME') ' Version ' IssmConfig('PACKAGE_VERSION')]);`
Navigating to the mex file and running it manually returns:
`IssmConfig_matlab
Error using IssmConfig_matlab
Error in ==> ./io/CheckNumMatlabArguments.cpp:15
CheckNumMatlabArguments error message: usage: see above`
I'm happy to work through (1) and (2) one-at-a-time if this is easiest, but I wanted to let you know about the disparity on different machines.
Many thanks
Frances
