I set md.friction.coupling=4 ,md.hydrology=hydrologyshakti() and run the model.But the following error is displayed, why

Hello @aisundong
I checked the code and you are somewhere in analyses/HydrologyShreveAnalysis.cpp, which means that your hydrology model is shreve and no SHAKTI. Can you type md.hydrology and check that it is the right one? something must be wrong in your script.

My previous expression was incorrect, I did use Shreve's solution

Shreve is not recommended... I think GlaDS or SHAKTI are a lot more realistic. Subglacial hydrology modeling is difficult (in terms of numerical stability, convergence, etc) so you will need to be patient. Good luck!

So both of the schemes you mentioned can be coupled with the friction scheme, right? Can you provide a script for an instance? I really need to explore patiently, thank you!

all hydrology models are coupled, but this is something we are just trying to explore now so we don't have any tutorials yet, sorry. If you are interested in SHAKTI, you can look at test/NightlyRun/test350.m, and GlaDS: test/NightlyRun/test355.m
