Acceptable Solver Residue Threshold

I recently ran into an issue when generating a bin file where the operation failed due to "solver residue too high". I adjust solver residue threshold to 1e^-2, and the operation ran successfully. Is this an acceptable threshold? Is it possible raise the threshold higher? If so, what is the acceptable limit?

Hi Jordan

if you have a high solver residue it is generally a sign that something is not going well. You should check your results and make sure you don't have a problem of boundary conditions or unrealistic speeds. If you use MUMPS (the default solver), the default threshold should be satisfied. If you use iterative solvers you can relax it a little bit but I would not go beyond 1e-4 or so.
