We ran into this issue under Windows after updating to the most current version of Cygwin.
I will modify the install script for autotools and commit some time today, but if you are eager to get this going, what you'll have to do is edit /externalpackages/autotools/install.sh
to work like /externalpackages/autotools/install-win.sh
does. The main point here is that you need to be downloading and installing automake-1.16.1 rather than version 1.14. One "gotcha" here is that although the tarball has version 1.16.1 in its name, when it gets untarred, the resulting directory (that the install script targets with make; make install
) with have name autotools-1.16
.
