Hello,

I am using SMBgradients for a transient run. It seems to work well if I use a constant smbref over time. Maybe my SMB gradients still need some work. Just to make sure, b_pos and b_neg are expected to be in mm w.e./yr/m, right?

But my main problem starts as soon as I use a time-variant smbref with the extra row for time. Then the calculated smb does not look good anymore.

I am not really sure what I am doing wrong. First I used only smbref as time-variant, then I also tried providing href, b_pos, and b_neg in the same shape as smbref; so also time-variant, which did not help.

I hope you guys can help.

PS: Just as a side note. I am using the python interface. But I don't think this matters here.

sorry it took us so long to get back to you, we are having issues with notifications from the forum.

I took a look at the code and it seems like SMBgradient should be able to handle time varying inputs. Could you make a quick example, maybe based on a test in test/NightlyRun, so that we can reproduce the problem on our end?
