Water column in enthalpy solution

I am using the enthalpy solution for a steady state run for a marine terminating glacier. In the solution the water column continues to increase so I am wondering if the water column is used in the effective pressure (N) in the friction law? If it is used anywhere in the model is it then possible to set some contraints on it?

Hi Signe,

The water column is not used in the effective pressure or anywhere else in the model actually. It will keep increasing as long as there is some basal melting at the base in a transient simulation.
