surface temperature as forcing

I am making a transient run through a period where I have climate model data to obtain a realistic temperature profile in the last timestep of the transient. I am thinking to use a surface temperature forcing in the same way I use md.smb.mass_balance for the smb forcing. Is this possible?

Hi Signe,

You can force the surface layer of md.thermal.spctemperature. Use timestamps in the last row,

the same way you would force smb. Each column will represent temperature at a specific time.

All non-constrained values should be set always to NaN. Where you wish to impose a single

point constraint (in your case, the surface layer), you will set a temperature value.
